The Foothills Express is a handicapped accessible shuttle bus that connects Culpeper and Madison county to Charlottesville. The Foothills Express runs every Tuesday and Thursday. It makes three round trips per day. Bus stop locations are at the Culpeper Hospital ER Entrance, Madison McDonalds, Madison Food Lion and UVA Hospital. You can choose where you would like to be dropped off and picked up in Charlottesville! Reservations are required by calling 1-800-365-2868. You can also call the FAMS Call Center at 540-829-5300. Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services is looking for drivers for their transit department. They will be holding a job fair at the Culpeper Senior center on May 25th from 10:00-2:00. Details about the position can be found here.

Transit Holding, LLC is seeking part time drivers to operate service in our Culpeper, VA location. The service includes several fixed routes within Counties of Fauquier/Culpeper and Towns within Warrenton, Culpeper, Orange and Gordonsville. On Demand Service is in Fauquier and Culpeper Counties, as well as special events service. Transit Holding, LLC is a non-profit organization that offers employees flexible schedules, paid training, paid holidays, dental and a family-friendly environment. Vehicle Operators are required to hold a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement within 90 days of employment with the organization, if not already obtained through the DMV. Please keep that in mind when scheduling your rides during inclement weather that while the Foothills Express may be running that day, if weather worsens through out the day, service may be canceled. You may be able to take the shuttle one way, but if weather conditions worsen, you may not be able to take the shuttle back and it will be up to you to find transportation back.
